Beltly Specimen is a mobile tool for beginners who create content on their phone: you frame pressed leaves under the loupe, set measurements, lock frames, caption each one, and arrange favourites on a season page for exhibition day. Everything you make in the app — every frame, measurement, caption, and season page — is saved in the app's private storage on your own device.
We, the publisher, never see your work. There is no Beltly server holding a copy, no cloud sync operated by us, and no "hidden" transmission of your content.
To frame a pressed leaf, the app needs an image. If you grant photo-library or camera access, images are used solely inside the app to build your frames and pages. The app reads only what you pick; it does not scan your library, and it never uploads images anywhere.
You can revoke these permissions at any time in your device settings. The app will keep working with whatever you have already added.
The app store you downloaded the app from (Apple or Google) may process standard install and crash information under its own privacy policy; that processing is controlled by the store, not by us.
When you export a season page or share a framed specimen, the app hands the file to the destination you choose (your photo library, a messaging app, and so on) using your device's standard share mechanism. From that moment the content is governed by the destination service, not by this policy. Nothing leaves the app unless you actively export it.
Because everything lives on your device, deletion is entirely in your hands: remove individual frames or pages inside the app, or uninstall the app to erase all of its data. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side — and nothing to retain.
Beltly Specimen is suitable for general audiences and collects no personal data from anyone, including children. If you are a parent with questions, contact us at the address below.
If a future version of the app changes how data is handled (for example, an optional cloud backup), this policy will be updated first and the date at the top revised. Material changes will be noted in the app's update notes.
